I am a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, and am deeply rooted in Southern Hospitality and the culture of living in the South. As a child, I became fascinated with colors and textures and with an artistic background, I quickly learned my way around a sewing machine creating pillows and throws, and that led to drapery design.
Many years ago I participated in the Bachelor of Creative Arts program, at The University Of North Carolina in Charlotte, and that schooling helped to further develop my God given talents. Later I landed a visual merchandising job at Ivey's Department Store in Charlotte, and I found that to be the best education that I could have wished for. Quickly, I strengthened my attention to detail, and shortly worked my way into management. Thirteen years later, I took a job with the nationally known business clothiers company - Hartmarx as their visual manager over their stores in the two Carolinas as well as Virginia. In the late 90's, along with a business partner, I opened Palazzo Home Accessories in Charlotte North Carolina. This store offered upscale home accessories from fine antiques to gorgeous oil paintings. Interior design was offered to many of our clients, seeking professional assistance in their homes. All this past experience has directed my passion in helping individuals soften their homes in fabrics from floor to ceiling.
